A downloadable game for Windows
A Game By Its Cover is an annual game jam about turning the fictional cartridge art of the My Famicase Exhibition into the real thing.
The inspiration I have used with permission from the artist is Crystasis. The game that I have made is a sequel to this. I figure that I probably can't make something good enough to meet someone's dream expectations yet. I am still learning. Sequels are usually not as good as the first. So I can manage your expectations here.
Crystasis
With the Crystarium gone, everything is frozen in time. Try and free the world from this crystal stasis it is doomed to be held within.
Crystasis II
The Sequel
30 years ago you saved the world from a crystal stasis that would have frozen the entire planet forever. Time has flowed as it should since the great Crystarium imbalance. Or has it? Stay alive as you figure out what happened in this mind bending sequel to the all time classic.
I am limiting the screenshots due to there being a few surprises in here. This is free. It was fun to make. I hope you have some fun playing it.
This is best played with a control pad on a windows machine that has a graphics card than can handle more than 4 colours. If you are reading this far, this game has more than 4 colours! There are 26 Dogs to save in Crystasis II. Can you save them all? Keep track with your Dogédex...

Install instructions
Unzip file on to a windows machine with a graphics card that can handle more than 4 colours.
Plug in a control pad for best results.

I have just watched your video. Thank you so much for doing that. It was my dream that at least one person enjoys it for 5 minutes so I have a beaming smile. I made it really quick so didn't make the directions super clear. If you want to collect ammo approach the console and wait for the container to lift. When you have enough Crystarium take it to the container which is indicated by a big ball in the sky. This is how you progress to the next level. Dogs to collect will appear randomly each time the level loads but they are rare so make sure they bark at you when you see one that's a little different. You can then see bios for the dogs you have saved in the Dogèdex. Once you have collected all the dogs you get your trophy 😀
